Beaujolais-Villages, the intense

The Beaujolais-Villages, like the Beaujolais, is not obviously considered as “crus”. Its 5200 hectares (around) make it a very large appellation spread on the Rhone department and Saone et Loire. From Mâcon to Villefranches sur Saône the soil became granitic, schist and volcano rocks and upon slight hills.
